The Graduate Certificate of Clinical Psychology may be awarded to students exiting a Master of Psychology (Clinical), or the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) prior to completing the requirements of that course, provided they meet the award requirements outlined below.

On successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Clinical Psychology, graduates will be able to:

  1. Adapt and apply advanced theoretical knowledge and technical skills in a range of clinical contexts, including tropical, Indigenous, and rural and remote
  2. Review, critically analyse, and synthesise theories, evidence-based practice and ethical considerations to plan and design safe and effective assessment and interventions for client groups of varying age, gender, culture, and socioeconomic status
  3. Communicate effectively in the transfer of knowledge and skills with a variety of audiences
  4. Reflect critically on the practice of one’s self, with responsibility and accountability to plan ongoing professional learning.
