MBBS Honours Program students

The MBBS Honours program aims to allow academic high achievers to learn about research and undertake research later in their professional career. This is an opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of how new knowledge is acquired.  An Honours degree advances the academic qualifications of MBBS graduates in an increasingly competitive field.

During the Honours program students receive training in research methods and undertake a practical project.  Projects can involve clinical research, basic or applied laboratory research with a clinical focus, population or public health projects. All projects should include a component of independent data collection.  It may be possible for them to contribute to existing research projects of advisors, but each student project must reflect a high degree of intellectual involvement.
